Alana graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Oregon in 2016. From 2014 to 2016 she worked for Electrical Geodesics Inc. as a research assistant under Dr. Don Tucker in the Brain Electrophysiology Lab. This is where she was first exposed to neuroscience research, specifically EEG and TMS. In early 2017 Alana began working as a research assistant at Neuroscape with the hopes of refining her EEG skills and gaining more experience in a laboratory setting. What drew her to Neuroscape was the cutting edge research being done to redefine treatment for neurological disorders with the hopes of changing the future of medicine. Her interests within the field include assessing and treating mental health in non-conventional ways as well as looking for new approaches to treatment of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and spinal cord injury.
Alana is currently a post-baccalaureate student at UC Berkeley and plans to pursue a medical degree.
