Arseny is a neurologist and cognitive neuroscientist with primary research interests in cognitive neurorehabilitation, social cognition and brain network analysis with neuroimaging. He earned his M.D. degree in 2011 at the University of Tübingen in Germany, where he worked on cerebro-cerebellar connectivity and involvement of the cerebellum in visual perception of body motion. Arseny was trained in neurology at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois Lausanne in Switzerland. Within the NeuroTech initiative in Lausanne, he directs the first clinical research facility outside of San Francisco directly inspired by the Neuroscape Research Labs: the Neuroscape@NeuroTech Platform. He is also a PhD student at the Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging, University College London.
At the Neuroscape Center, Arseny works on a project to assess the effects of Body-Brain Training in multiple sclerosis patients with cognitive deficits, and the value of tablet-based gamified Adaptive Cognitive Evaluation as a screening tool for memory clinic patients. He will also contribute to further development of the Neuroscape Alliance. Arseny is also highly interested in virtual reality paradigms to evaluate and treat deficits in empathy, social cognition and behavior in neurological and psychiatric patients.
