Lauren, a Bay Area native, received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in December 2016 from Biola University. She was first attracted to cognitive psychology as an undergraduate taking Psychology courses. She expanded this interest by becoming a research assistant to two cognitive psychology professors at Biola University, which sparked her passion for research. During the summer of 2016, Lauren then sought more experience in research by becoming a Research Assistant for Dr. Geisler’s graduate students at San Francisco State University.

At the start of 2017, she joined the Gazzaley lab as a research assistant. She administers neuropsychological assessments to older adults to assess his or her cognitive levels as well as determine his or her eligibility for the lab’s studies. Later on in the year, she was hired as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator to spearhead participant recruitment. She is currently attending SFSU’s Mind, Brain, and Behavior masters program as a second year graduate student.
