Sierra joined Neuroscape in winter 2015 as Center Manager. Prior to her affiliation with UCSF, she managed a research lab at San Francisco State University and coordinated an age-related memory study. She graduated from San Francisco State University in 2015 with a master’s degree in cognitive neuroscience research and received her bachelor's degree in psychology in 2013. Her attraction to Neuroscape was fueled by her scientific background and passion for studying the human brain. Sierra was happy to find a home at Neuroscape.

Sierra manages Neuroscape's research operations at UCSF Mission Bay. Her involvement in Neuroscape runs deep and includes coordination of research activities, overseeing the volunteer internship and visiting scholar programs, inter-and intra-departmental communication, protocol implementation and regulatory compliance, and supporting internal communication. She is also a member of operations and internal communications committees in the department of neurology at UCSF.
