Curriculum Vitae:

Zahra began her time at Neuroscape as a research assistant in June of 2016, working on Dr. Jyoti Mishra’s Closed-Loop BCI team. Her previous research experience includes an assistantship with the Child Stress and Emotions Lab (CSEL) at the University of Maryland. At CSEL, she was involved in investigating the development of children’s hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical system and early temperament. She also gained exposure to neuroimaging equipment as it is used to characterize the functional brain organization underlying development of emotion and cognition. This experience helped cultivate her interest in interventions that could potentially have a lasting impact on cognitive ability.

Zahra received a B.S. in Physiology & Neurobiology from the University of Maryland, and went on to receive a M.S. in Physiology from Georgetown University. Her future goals include pursuing a career in health care and health policy.
